Standing Cats Handmade Quilt

Over the years we have made dozens of custom sleeping cat quilts. Now it’s the turn of standing cats to keep our beds company!

Our Custom Standing Cat Handmade Quilts feature different printed cotton fabrics forming the patchwork standing cats. Detailed quilting in the white quilt block add a lovely sophisticated dimension to each standing cat.

Just to honor the spirit of cats, there’s a corner block where one of the fabric cats gets tired.

These are brand new, made in Missouri handmade cat quilts so no two are exactly the same.

We can make them in custom color choices. If you don’t know what colors you want, choose a neutral and let us select a range of fabric colors for the patchwork cats.

Plan on custom standing cats quilts to take 3 months from when the details are finalized. We can also make these in smaller lap quilt throw sizes.

One of the unique aspects of our custom standing cats handmade quilts is the lovely quilting. You can get a better idea of how the quilting adds to the quilt by looking at the back side. Each patchwork cat is quilt outlined then surrounded by detailed hand-guided machine quilting.

Hang in There Cat Quilt Wall Hanging

We all have them. Favorite quilts we like to curl up in or were gifts that we don’t use because they were made especially for us.

Now is the time to take a look at them and repurpose them into a wall hanging. Especially for that guest room, basement or garage that has become an impromptu office. There is no better way to warm up a space than to hang a handmade quilt from a wall.

Depending on the size of the wall, standard lap quilts 50x60 inches make excellent quilted wall hangings. Hang in There Cat Quilt seems to reflect where we are today, literally hanging in there.

There are also some smaller versions often found as baby crib quilts 36x48 inches that also work well as a quilted wall hanging in a baby nursery.

Quilts can help insulate a room and also deaden that hollow sound some rooms have, especially garages and basements with unfinished walls. The quilted wall hanging also helps to insulate the space from outside noises.

Raining Cats Dogs Handmade Quilt

No surprise to anyone who knows me that this would be one of my favorite handmade quilts. This was an entry in the 2017 Piece and Plenty Quilt Guild Bi-annual quilt show. I love the details, from the tiny green trees and mice to the animal faces.

What makes this custom handmade quilt even more intriguing is how it was made. The quilt group members each added a row, not seeing the final product until everyone was done.

Can you imagine? Could you do it?

I think I would be tempted to run off with each of the handmade quilt rows. This is one of the rows for the dogs, floppy-eared happy pups courtesy of eye and nose buttons. I won’t look at buttons the same again!

On another row, the feline additions, from favorite toys and food to the charming cats themselves. Some handmade quilts with repeated patterns change out details on the patterns only, like using different fabrics.

For these cats, their faces change expression from one quilt cat block to the next.

Finally, it’s all pulled together and quilted, making this “rain” a fun experience. So much fun, Lee Linebarger!

I would love to participate in something like this although I don’t know how well i would do not peeking. Or repurposing the quilt blocks for something else. These cat blocks would make fun throw pillows.

Cat Mischief Lap Quilt Wall Hanging

Cat Mischief Lap Quilt Wall Hanging

Have a cat lover on your gift list? Then Cat Mischief Lap Quilt Wall Hanging may be just the ticket.

This brand new, imported lap quilt is the standard 50x60 inches made out of quality cotton fabrics. Several feline scenes are depicted on the front, from cats getting into trouble to cat naps. A charming border of red mice taunt the cats in the center.

One of the reasons lap quilt throws make excellent gifts is that you can also hang Cat Mischief as a quilted wall hanging.

Take a look at a close up of some of the cat lap quilt wall hanging scenes:

Put two cats together and you are bound to find something’s amiss. There’s a nod to that in this charming lap quilt wall hanging:

Not all cats are getting into trouble, this little grey is taking a nap.

The standard lap quilt throw has a border that surrounds it with red mice.

To make this a personalized gift, add cat names to each scene and the person who lives with cats at the bottom with custom embroidery.

Nice way to celebrate that cat lover on your gift list!

Lots of Cats Quilt and Pillows

These fun hand embroidered pillows add cats to this quilt like - well, real cats!

These fun hand embroidered pillows add cats to this quilt like - well, real cats!

Lots of Cats Quilt and Pillows

I'm doing some Christmas shopping and this is one of those quilts that I would love to give to someone because I like it so much!

Lots of Cats Quilt and Pillows makes me smile every time I see it. Every quilt block has a different, hand embroidered cat in a different pose. Each of the pillows is a different hand embroidered cat, too, which when you toss the pillows on the bed, they look very similar to a bunch of cats piled up on the bed.

This brand new, made in Missouri, USA twin-size quilt has a variety of solid colored fabric strips in between the blocks so this lightweight quilt will fit into any room decor. Backing is also a white cotton.

See how the pillows look against the quilt blocks?

The different cat pillows also add cat charm to the quilt itself, see how they look together in a bedroom setting.

Midnight in the Garden Quilt Wall Hanging

Midnight in Garden quilt wall hanging.

Midnight in Garden Quilt Wall Hanging

When I think of Halloween, black cats play a prominent place in those thoughts. My first cat was a gorgeous black cat with yellow eyes, and this quilt wall hanging reminded me of her.

"Midnight in the Garden" quilt wall hanging was shared at Piece and Plenty Quilt Guild's 2015 bi-annual show in Rolla, Missouri. Unfortunately the description attached the quilt was a complaint about not being able to use Pay Pal to pay for the entry so I don't have a lot of details about the quilt.

It was made by Dorreene Reynolds and is 23-inches by 19-inches, a nice wall hanging size, by the way. Installed at the right place on a wall this charming quilt wall hanging could easily "fill in" for a missing window.

Besides the black cat's green eyes, I love the circular flowers among the applique greenery.

And why is the cat in the garden at midnight?

Check out the other garden visitor in the bottom left hand corner.

Here Kitty Kitties Quilt and Cat Pillows

Don't these hand embroidered cats just want to make you smile?

Here Kitty Kitties Quilt and Cat Pillows

I have to confess, I sometimes I am not disappointed when some of our quilts don't immediately sell. Here Kitty Kitties Twin quilt is one of those quilts!

There's something so charming about this little made in Missouri quilt. Every hand-embroidered block has a different cat in a variety of poses. I particularly smile at the eyebrows, they seem to give each cat a little extra "tude sitting in their white cotton quilt blocks between strips of brown floral patterned cotton. It's like they are playing in a garden!

I took this posting down when I thought I was going to take the quilt apart to make it bigger to fit my queen size bed. Yes, that's how much I love this little collection of playful, embroidered cats!

That's not an easy thing to do, take a finished quilt apart so after much deliberation, I am listing it again.

Having grown up doing a lot of embroidery, I appreciate all of the work that went into this made in Missouri, USA twin-size quilt and complimentary pillows. The pillows are the perfect size for a young cat lover's room decor, a good size for napping and yet not too big for the proportion of the twin bed.

This is a one of a kind, lightweight quilt. All it needs now is a home with a real cat to complete the look!
