Plant Cutting as Decor

If you garden you’ve had times when you wanted to take a cutting of something to root it and have more. Have you considered using those rootings as home decor while you wait?

These Pee Gee hydrangea cuttings are rooting in a container in my kitchen next to the moth orchids (in pots) and my Mexican owl pottery. Here are three reasons to keep your cuttings close:

  1. It’s best to change the water every day.

  2. It’s good to monitor progress on a daily basis.

  3. It’s best to keep them close so you don’t forget you even started them.

Not all plants will work well as home decor cuttings but these hydrangeas are lovely. I’ll be excited to add them to my garden if I’m successful rooting them. Having them in my kitchen where I can see them definitely increases their success chances!
